AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BENTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO AND/OR CONTRACT WITH UNITED COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Benton County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) out of any available funds of the county, to United Community Action Agency, Inc., in connection with United Community Action Agency for the operation of various programs in Benton County.
(2) In addition to the authority authorized in subsection (1) of this section, the Board of Supervisors of Benton County is authorized to contract with United Community Action Agency, Inc., in connection with United Community Action Agency for the operation of various programs in Benton County.
(3) The provisions of this section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2014.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
