AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE CHARLES JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the Town of Oakland, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute an amount not to exceed a total sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to the Charles Johnson Scholarship Fund.

     (2)  The provisions of this section shall be repealed on December 31, 2012. 

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
