AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO TRANSFER AND CONVEY TO THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION ALL OF ITS RIGHTS, TITLE AND INTEREST IN CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON NORTH WEST STREET IN THE CITY OF JACKSON, HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Department of Finance and Administration is authorized to transfer and convey to the Mississippi Transportation Commission, for use by the Department of Transportation, all of its rights, title and interest in certain real property located on North West Street, City of Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi, described more specifically as follows:

Starting at a concrete monument that is the point of intersection of the north line of Woodrow Wilson Avenue and the west line of North West Street, as said avenue and street are now laid out and improved in the City of Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi; run thence North 00 degrees 05 minutes West along the west line of North West Street for a distance of 1519.80 feet to the point of beginning.

Run thence North 00 degrees 05 minutes West along said west line of North West Street for a distance of 161.10 feet to a concrete monument that is the southeast corner of the Mississippi State Highway Department shop site; run thence North 89 degrees 30 minutes West along the south line of said Mississippi State Highway Department shop site for a distance of 443.00 feet to a point; run thence South 00 degrees 05 minutes East for a distance of 161.10 feet to a point; run thence South 89 degrees 30 minutes East for a distance of 443.00 feet to the point of beginning.

All of the above described land being situated in the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast l/4 of Section 27, Township 6 North, Range 1 East, in the First Judicial District of Hinds County, Mississippi, and being wholly within the corporate limits of the City of Jackson and containing 1.638 acres.

     (2)  The conveyance authorized in this section may be subject to terms and conditions accepted and agreed upon by the Department of Finance and Administration and the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
