AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-7-38, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ALLOW THE USE OF A CROSSBOW DURING OPEN SEASONS ON DEER AND TURKEY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 49-7-38, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:
49-7-38. * * *
* * * It is lawful to hunt game with a crossbow during the open seasons on deer and turkey * * *. Unless exempt, a person, must have the appropriate hunting license * * * for the game being hunted. * * *
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2010.
