House Bill 1119

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF THE U.S. HIGHWAYS 49/61 BYPASS IN COAHOMA COUNTY AS "DR. AARON E. HENRY MEMORIAL BYPASS"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  That segment of the U.S. Highways 49/61 Bypass, or its successor name, in Coahoma County beginning at the split of U.S. Highway 61 and U.S. Highway 278 and extending northerly to its intersection with Mississippi Highway 6, is designated and shall be known as the "Dr. Aaron E. Henry Memorial Bypass."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2010.
