A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REMEMBERING AND COMMENDING THE MILITARY SERVICE OF THOSE SWORN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.
WHEREAS, many sworn officers and employees of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety served in a branch of the United States Armed Forces prior to or during their duty with the State of Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, these veterans are counted among America's and Mississippi's heroes, committed to our nation's safety and security, and it is with great pride and humility that we recognize the military service of these sworn officers and employees of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety who served as the guardians of civilization as we know it today:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby remember and commend the military service of the following sworn officers and employees of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety who served in the United States Armed Forces: Corporal Larry Edwards, Captain Charles Brill, Captain Jim Stone, Captain Ron Kelly, Captain Rusty Miley, Corporal Charles Hale, Corporal Dean Ausmer, Corporal Hamshire Collins, Corporal Jerry L. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to the Commissioner of Public Safety in appropriate recognition of the service of these officers and employees, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
