House Amendments to Senate Bill No. 2004

 

TO THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE HOUSE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance, for the purpose of defraying the expenses of said commission for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 ..............     ..................................................$     25,000.00.

     The additional funds appropriated in this section are provided for the purpose of funding 2100 hours of unpaid personal leave of a deceased employee.

     SECTION 2.  That the following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying salaries, mileage, insurance, matching funds and the daily expense allowance of the members of the Legislature for the First Extraordinary Session of 2007, as follows:

     For salaries, mileage, insurance,

          matching funds and daily

          expense allowance of members

          of the House of Representatives........$     39,680.00.

     For salaries, mileage, insurance,

          matching funds and daily

          expense allowance of members

          of the Senate..........................$     15,546.00.

     SECTION 3.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of constructing the Mississippi Burn Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center...................................$ 10,000,000.00.

     The appropriation in this section is conditional upon any future employee of the Commission on Judicial Performance, any other state agency or any citizen of this state being burned by fire or chemicals and needing the services of a burn center.

     SECTION 4.  The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 5.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE MISSISSIPPI COMMISSION ON JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007 AND FOR THE EXPENSES OF THE LEGISLATURE FOR THE FIRST EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF 2007 AND FOR MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MISSISSIPPI BURN CENTER.
