AMENDMENT NO 2 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No.  238

     AMEND by inserting the following sentence after line 28:

     Of the funds provided in paragraph (d) for the school districts experiencing at least three (3) consecutive years of growth in ADA, Nine Million Five Hundred Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($9,516,558.00) shall be reallocated and are hereby appropriated to provide an additional one and one-half percent (1-1/2%) of at-risk funds for students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 (K-3) in Mississippi public school districts, to be distributed by the State Department of Education on a pro rata basis based upon the percentage of at-risk students in K-3 residing in the school district.  Said funds shall be exclusively used for program enhancements for those at-risk students in Grades K-3.
