Senate Amendments to House Bill No. 702

 

TO THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SENATE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  In accordance with Section 51-4-7, the Tombigbee River flowing through Itawamba County, which was designated as eligible for nomination to the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program under Section 51-4-21.7, is designated as a state scenic stream and is included in the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO DESIGNATE THE TOMBIGBEE RIVER IN ITAWAMBA COUNTY, AS A STATE SCENIC STREAM AND TO INCLUDE THE STREAM IN THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
