COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1. Chapter 928, Local and Private Laws of 2004, is amended as follows:

     Section 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, from any available funds of the county, to provide funding for the Tunica County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., (the "foundation"), in an amount not to exceed Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000.00) annually.

     (2)  The provisions of this act shall be repealed on December 31, 2012.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after June 1, 2007.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 928, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2004, TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE TUNICA COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC., THROUGH AND INCLUDING CALENDAR YEAR 2012; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
