AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No. 1061

BY: Representatives McBride, Burnett

     AMEND by inserting the following after line 12 and renumbering the succeeding section:

     SECTION 2.  The following segment of highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission and returned to the jurisdiction of the governing authorities of the City of Tunica, Mississippi:

     Northern District - Tunica County:

Mississippi Highway 4 beginning at the west corporate limits of the City of Tunica, Mississippi, and extending easterly to U.S. Highway 61, for a total approximate length of .7 miles.

AMEND FURTHER the title by inserting the following after the semicolon on line 4:  "TO DELETE A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 4 IN THE CITY OF TUNICA, MISSISSIPPI, FROM THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM; TO REMOVE IT FROM THE JURISDICTION OF THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND RETURN IT TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF TUNICA, MISSISSIPPI;"
