House Amendments to Senate Bill No. 2809

 

TO THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE HOUSE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     AMEND on line 9 by striking the word "place" and inserting the language "add as a payee" in lieu thereof.

     AMEND FURTHER on line 9 by inserting the following language after the word "check":  ", in addition to the name of the insured, either the name of the business or other entity repairing the vehicle or in the case of a total loss"

     AMEND FURTHER on line 10 by placing a period after the word "automobile" and deleting the remainder of Section 1 through the period on line 12 and inserting the language "This section shall not apply to the repair or replacement of glass in the vehicle." in lieu thereof.

AMENDMENT NO. 2

 

     AMEND by inserting the following after line 12:  "Upon receipt of the check the lienholder will make payment to the insured within sixty (60) days of any balance remaining after payment of the claim for the vehicle."
