REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE
MADAM PRESIDENT AND MR. SPEAKER:
We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled BILL:
S. B. No. 2083: Public property; name Mississippi Highway Patrol substation after Senator Bunky Huggins.
We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:
1. That the House recede from its Amendment No. 1.
2. That the Senate and House adopt the following amendment:
Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
SECTION 1. The Mississippi Highway Patrol Troupe "D" substation located in the Greenwood, Mississippi, District shall be named the "Robert 'Bunky' Huggins Substation." The Department of Public Safety shall place a distinctive plaque in a prominent place within the building, which states the background, accomplishments and service of the late Senator Robert "Bunky" Huggins to the State of Mississippi.
SECTION 2. The mental health crisis center located in Brookhaven, Mississippi, shall be named in honor of the late Senator Billy V. Harvey. The Department of Mental Health shall place a distinctive plaque in a prominent place within the crisis center, which states the background, accomplishments and service of the late Senator Billy V. Harvey to the State of Mississippi.
SECTION 3. The Graduate Business Programs Building on the Natchez campus of Alcorn State University shall be named the "Williams and Wells Graduate Business Programs Building" in honor of Dr. Malvin Williams, Sr., and Dr. Steve Wells. Alcorn State University shall prepare a distinctive plaque, to be placed in a prominent place within the facility, which states the background, accomplishments and service to the university by Dr. Malvin Williams, Sr., and Dr. Steve Wells.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
AN ACT TO NAME THE MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY PATROL SUBSTATION LOCATED IN THE GREENWOOD, MISSISSIPPI, DISTRICT THE "ROBERT 'BUNKY' HUGGINS SUBSTATION"; TO NAME THE MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS CENTER LOCATED IN BROOKHAVEN, MISSISSIPPI, IN HONOR OF THE LATE SENATOR BILLY V. HARVEY; TO NAME THE GRADUATE BUSINESS PROGRAMS BUILDING ON THE NATCHEZ CAMPUS OF ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY THE "WILLIAMS AND WELLS GRADUATE BUSINESS PROGRAMS BUILDING"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
