House Resolution 51

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING GLENDA REDMOND ON HER SELECTION AS THE L.N. DANTZLER DIFFERENCE MAKER AWARD RECIPIENT FOR THE PERKINSTON CAMPUS OF MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

     WHEREAS, the L.N. Dantzler Difference Maker Award employee recognition program was established by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) in the 2002-2003 fiscal year to honor and acknowledge those employees who best exemplify the college's mission:  "We make a positive difference in people’s lives every day"; and

     WHEREAS, the award recognizes those employees who work diligently to promote and support MGCCC through their exceptional work habits, their caring attitudes toward colleagues and students, their selfless service to perform the college's mission and their commitment to the college and the communities it serves; and

     WHEREAS, L.N. Dantzler Difference Maker Award winners reflect great credit upon themselves, their families and friends, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College system as a whole; and

     WHEREAS, Glenda Redmond has been employed with MGCCC since February 1981, and has served faithfully in performance of her duties and responsibilities; and

     WHEREAS, Glenda Redmond, Librarian at the Perkinston Campus, exemplifies all the attributes set forth in the L.N. Dantzler Difference Maker Award criteria and serves as a model for all employees; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend those individuals who perform their duties in an exceptional manner:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Glenda Redmond as the L.N. Dantzler Difference Maker Award recipient for 2006-2007 and extend heartiest wishes for continued success in all of her future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Glenda Redmond and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
