A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MS. K.C. ARNOLD ON BEING NAMED THE ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE OF THE YEAR AND FOR HER SUPERB SERVICE IN THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY.
WHEREAS, Ms. K.C. Arnold, a resident of Ocean Springs, has been named the "Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year" for the State of Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Arnold, who is the owner of the Diabetes Center, PLLC, where she serves as a nurse practitioner, received the prestigious award as part of Mississippi's Nightingale Awards that was hosted by the Mississippi Nurses Association and Mississippi Nurses Foundation on January 29, 2007; and
WHEREAS, known for her kind spirit, Ms. Arnold is also known for having a positive impact on her patients that is unrivaled and for helping individuals who have severe cases of diabetes to lead healthy and productive lives; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Arnold was given this prestigious Nightingale Award because, as a nurse who is licensed with advanced certification and who provides superb direct patient care, she epitomizes nurse practitioners who strive for quality and excellence for their patients; and
WHEREAS, in addition, Ms. Arnold makes a clear impact on the outcome of all of her patients, and she has advanced interpersonal skills and demonstrates a superb level of technical expertise as she furthers the role of the advanced practice nurse in the community; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend such a dedicated and outstanding Mississippian as Ms. K.C. Arnold, who is making monumental contributions as a nurse practitioner and who provides much needed and outstanding direct patient care:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Ms. K.C. Arnold on being named the "Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year" and for her superb service in the healthcare industry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Ms. K.C. Arnold and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
