AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO WASHINGTON COUNTY OPPORTUNITIES, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE OF HELPING THE ORGANIZATION MEET ITS BUDGETARY NEEDS IN PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND RELATED SERVICES TO THE CHILDREN OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Washington County, in its discretion, may contribute an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) to Washington County Opportunities, Inc. (WCOI), a community action agency located in Washington County that provides educational and related services to children of low income families, for the purpose of helping the organization meet its budgetary needs.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
