AN ACT TO PROHIBIT HUNTING IN CEMETERIES; TO PRESCRIBE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, shoot or trap any wild animal or wild bird in a cemetery, whether the cemetery be public or private. If any person is found to be in violation, such person, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2007.
