AN ACT TO CREATE A NEW SECTION TO BE CODIFIED AS SECTION 63-3-1217, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO NOTIFY ANNUALLY PERSONS WHO HOLD VALID DRIVER'S LICENSES OR PERMITS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF THE SUBSTANCE OF ANY AMENDMENTS OR CHANGES MADE BY THE LEGISLATURE TO THE CHAPTER OF LAW REGARDING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS AND RULES OF THE ROAD; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 63-3-1217, Mississippi Code of 1972:
63-3-1217. The Department of Public Safety, not later than ninety (90) days after final adjournment of each regular session of the Legislature, shall notify, by United States mail, every person who holds a valid driver's license or permit issued by the department of the substance of any amendments or changes made by the Legislature at such regular session to any of the statutes contained in this chapter of law regarding traffic regulations and rules of the road.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2007.
