AMENDMENT NO 2 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Senate Bill No. 3023

     AMEND by adding a new SECTION 3 and SECTION 4 and renumber succeeding sections, said new sections to read as follows:

     SECTION 3.  The following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the Budget Contingency Fund, created in Section 27-103-301, Mississippi Code of 1972, for the aid and support of the public community and junior colleges, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007........................... $    2,286,240.00.

     SECTION 4.  It is the intention of the Legislature, that with the funds provided in this act a salary increase in the amount of Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($6,500.00) per full-time equivalent shall be awarded to all nursing faculty of the Community and Junior Colleges effective July 1, 2006.
