AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF BALDWYN, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE WHEELER SEWER UTILITY DISTRICT TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS WITH THEMSELVES FOR TERMS OF NOT MORE THAN 35 YEARS TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WASTEWATER SYSTEM FOR THE WHEELER COMMUNITY OF PRENTISS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE TREATMENT OF ITS WASTEWATER BY THE CITY OF BALDWYN; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Baldwyn, Mississippi, and the Board of Commissioners of the Wheeler Sewer Utility District are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to enter into contracts and agreements for a term of not more than thirty-five (35) years to permit the construction and financing of a wastewater sewer system for the Wheeler Community of Prentiss County, Mississippi, and the treatment of Wheeler Community's wastewater by the City of Baldwyn.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
