A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY FLYWHEEL TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY DAY AT THE HOUSTON FLYWHEEL FESTIVAL IN HOUSTON, MISSISSIPPI.

WHEREAS, Saturday, April 29, 2006, will mark the Mississippi Valley Flywheel 25th Anniversary Day at the Houston Flywheel Festival; and

WHEREAS, the Mississippi Valley Flywheel Anniversary Antique Engine and Tractor Show has been a source of great pride for the Houston, Mississippi, area; and

WHEREAS, the festival is sponsored by the Chickasaw Development Foundation, the City of Houston, Wal-Mart, Jim's Auto Parts, Chickasaw Farm Services, Grocer's Pride and the Pilot Club; and

WHEREAS, the festival, which is held at Joe Brigance Park, will draw local residents and numerous others from across the region; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize unique and special events involving the citizens of our state such as the Mississippi Valley Flywheel 25th Anniversary Day at the Houston Flywheel Festival:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby acknowledge Saturday, April 29, 2006, as the Mississippi Valley Flywheel 25th Anniversary Day at the Houston Flywheel Festival in Houston, Mississippi, and extend our congratulations to the festival and its sponsors on this special day for Houston, Mississippi.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the promoters and sponsors of the Houston Flywheel Festival, the Chickasaw Development Foundation and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
