A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, AND THE INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE, OF A BILL ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-35-143, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE TIME IN WHICH A PERSON MAY APPLY TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF A COUNTY AND WHEN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MAY CHANGE, CANCEL OR DECREASE AN ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY FOR AD VALOREM TAXES WHENEVER THE PROPERTY HAS CEASED TO EXIST OR HAS BEEN DESTROYED OR THE PROPERTY HAS DEPRECIATED IN VALUE ON ACCOUNT OF FIRE, EXPLOSION, STORM, FLOOD, EARTHQUAKE, LIGHTNING OR OTHER INEVITABLE ACCIDENT OR ACT OF PROVIDENCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the House and the Senate, including all the deadlines and other provisions imposed by Joint Rule No. 40, are suspended for the purpose of requesting the drafting, and the introduction, consideration and passage, of a bill entitled "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-35-143, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE TIME IN WHICH A PERSON MAY APPLY TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF A COUNTY AND WHEN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MAY CHANGE, CANCEL OR DECREASE AN ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY FOR AD VALOREM TAXES WHENEVER THE PROPERTY HAS CEASED TO EXIST OR HAS BEEN DESTROYED OR THE PROPERTY HAS DEPRECIATED IN VALUE ON ACCOUNT OF FIRE, EXPLOSION, STORM, FLOOD, EARTHQUAKE, LIGHTNING OR OTHER INEVITABLE ACCIDENT OR ACT OF PROVIDENCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
