AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY TO EXPEND COUNTY FUNDS FOR DONATIONS TO NEW HOPE VILLAGE TO SUPPORT ITS EFFORTS IN PROVIDING A SHELTER FOR THE HOMELESS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may expend county funds from any available funds of the county, in an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) during fiscal year 2006, for the purpose of providing support to New Hope Village in its efforts to provide a shelter for the benefit of displaced or homeless individuals in the county.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
