AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE MID-STATE OPPORTUNITY, INC., THE INSTITUTE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., THE AARON E. HENRY COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC, INCORPORATED, AND THE G.A. STOVER HEALTH CLINIC, P.A.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute, from any available funds of the county, an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to the Institute of Community Services, Incorporated, during calendar year 2006, and an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to the Institute of Community Services, Incorporated, during calendar year 2007, to assist the institute in operating its Head Start classes for three-year-old children in Tunica County, to purchase additional vehicles used to transport children to and from the Head Start, and to provide daycare vouchers to parents of Head Start students.
(2) The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contract with or contribute during county fiscal year 2007, an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00) to Mid-State Opportunity, Incorporated, for operation of its various programs in and for Tunica, Mississippi.
(3) The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute during calendar year 2006, out of any available funds, an amount not to exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to the Aaron E. Henry Community Health Clinic, Incorporated, and an amount not to exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to the G.A. Stover Health Clinic, P.A., solely for the purpose of enhancing medical care in and for the residents of Tunica County, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
