AN ACT TO REQUIRE EACH MEDICAID PROVIDER TO PUBLISH ON A QUARTERLY BASIS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF MEDICAID RECIPIENTS TO WHOM THE PROVIDER RENDERED SERVICES DURING THE PRECEDING QUARTER AND THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE MEDICAID PAYMENTS THAT THE PROVIDER RECEIVED DURING THE PRECEDING QUARTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Each health care provider that receives payments from the Division of Medicaid shall publish on a quarterly basis the total number of Medicaid recipients to whom the provider rendered services during the preceding quarter and the total amount of the payments that the provider received from the division during the preceding quarter. The publication under this section shall be made in a newspaper having a general circulation in the county of residence of the provider, not later than thirty (30) days after the end of each quarter of the year.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2006.
