AN ACT TO REQUIRE ATTORNEYS TO STATE ON THEIR LETTERHEAD WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE COVERED BY AN ERRORS AND OMISSIONS POLICY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. An attorney licensed to practice in this state or a firm shall place a statement on the letterhead of such attorney or firm stating whether or not such attorney or firm has a current errors and omissions policy covering such attorney or firm. The Mississippi Bar is authorized to enforce the provisions of this section.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2006.
