A RESOLUTION COMMENDING EARNESTINE LYMON UPON HER RETIREMENT AFTER MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE LEFLORE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Earnestine Lymon, a native of Leflore County, Mississippi, has been a dedicated employee of the Leflore County School District after giving more than 38 years of her time and service to the youth and the citizens of Leflore County; and
WHEREAS, a graduate and standout member of the girls basketball team of Amanda Elzy High School, Ms. Lymon commenced her career in education at East Elementary School and subsequently at T.Y. Fleming Elementary School before joining the staff of Amanda Elzy Elementary School as a Teacher's Assistant; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lymon, along with her fellow colleagues within the Leflore County School District, is in part responsible for having prepared and groomed an entire generation of future doctors, lawyers, nurses, politicians, teachers, leaders, role models and other hard-working citizens who have benefited from her committed service; and
WHEREAS, the loving and devoted mother of one child, Gwendolyn, Ms. Lymon is a dedicated member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she serves as an usher; and
WHEREAS, through tireless dedication and loving patience, Ms. Lymon has contributed to making Mississippi a greater state by educating our children to become productive, God-fearing, responsible citizens who will write the next chapter in the book of Mississippi's history; and
WHEREAS, the entire citizenry of the State of Mississippi owes an immeasurable debt to retiring educators of Ms. Lymon's caliber, who have ensured that students receive an education to make certain their success for the future; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to commend excellence, especially as evidenced by individuals who have dedicated so many years of their lives to developing and cultivating the minds of the young Mississippians with whom they have come in contact during their illustrious careers:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby recognize, commend and congratulate Ms. Earnestine Lymon upon her retirement after more than 38 years of dedicated service to educating the youth of this great state and wish her much success in all her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Ms. Lymon and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
