COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No. 1221

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  (1)  In consideration for the conveyance of property authorized in Section 2 of this act, the Mississippi Department of Corrections may transfer and convey to the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, all of its right, title and interest in certain real property located within the County of Quitman, described more specifically as follows:

The NW 1/4 of SW 1/4; SW 1/4 of NW 1/4, Section 2, Township 26, North, Range 1, West, Quitman County, Mississippi.

     (2)  The conveyance authorized in this section may be subject to additional terms and conditions accepted and agreed upon by the Mississippi Department of Corrections and the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.

     SECTION 2.  (1)  In consideration for the conveyance of property authorized in Section 1 of this act, the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks may transfer and convey to the Mississippi Department of Corrections all of its right, title and interest owned in certain real property located within the County of Quitman, described more specifically as follows:

The NE 1/4 of SE 1/4; SE 1/4 of NE 1/4, Section 3, Township 26, North, Range 1 West, Quitman County, Mississippi.

     (2)  The conveyance authorized in this section may be subject to additional terms and conditions agreed upon by the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and Mississippi Department of Corrections.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS TO EXCHANGE CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN QUITMAN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
