Senate Amendments to House Bill No. 1215

 

TO THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SENATE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The commission on Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks shall poll resident hunting license holders on the issue of feeding wild animals and game birds and hunting over feed, and shall furnish the findings to the Legislature no later than January 3, 2006.

     (2)  The commission and the department shall make recommendations on regulating the feeding of wild animals and game birds, the potential for the introduction and spread of disease and prevention and containment policies, and whether to allow or prohibit the hunting of wild animals and game birds over feed to the Legislature no later than January 3, 2006.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE COMMISSION ON WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS AND THE DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS TO POLL RESIDENT HUNTERS ON HUNTING OVER FEED AND TO REQUIRE THE COMMISSION AND DEPARTMENT TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE FEEDING AND BAITING OF WILD ANIMALS AND GAME BIRDS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
