AMENDMENT NO 2 PROPOSED TO

Cmte Sub for House Bill No. 1192

BY: Representative Perkins

     AMEND by striking the word and figure "three (3)" on line 118 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:  "two (2)"

     AMEND FURTHER by striking lines 119 through 142 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

          "(a)  Subdistrict 7-1 shall consist of Bolivar and Coahoma Counties.

          (b)  Subdistrict 7-2 shall consist of Leflore * * *, Quitman * * *, Tallahatchie * * * and Tunica Counties."

     AMEND FURTHER by striking everything on line 147 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:  "Subdistrict 7-1 and two (2) chancellors shall be elected from Subdistrict 7-2.  For purposes of appointment and election, the two (2) chancellorships shall be separate and distinct and denominated for purposes of appointment and election only as "Place One" and "Place Two."

     AMEND FURTHER on line 641 and 655 by inserting the following after the word "districts":  "and subdistricts"
