A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE FURTHER CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF SENATE BILL NO. 2731, 2005 REGULAR SESSION, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO CREATE A COMMISSION ON RESTRUCTURING THE MISSISSIPPI ADEQUATE EDUCATION PROGRAM (MAEP); TO AMEND SECTION 37-151-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE FORMULA FOR COMPUTING AVERAGE DAILY ATTENDANCE OF STUDENTS FOR PURPOSES OF THE MISSISSIPPI ADEQUATE EDUCATION PROGRAM; TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION SHALL ANNUALLY DETERMINE THE BASE STUDENT COST UNDER THE FORMULA; TO PROVIDE THAT AT-RISK FUNDING IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES K-8; TO AUTHORIZE CERTAIN COST SAVINGS TO THE FORMULA TO BE EXPENDED FOR HIGH GROWTH SCHOOL DISTRICTS; TO BRING FORWARD SECTION 37-19-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, RELATING TO THE TEACHER SALARY SCALE UNDER THE ADEQUATE EDUCATION PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
