AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO SOUP KITCHENS IN JACKSON COUNTY THAT PROVIDE FREE MEALS TO THE NEEDY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute an amount not to exceed Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) annually during calendar years 2005, 2006 and 2007, out of any available funds of the county, to soup kitchens in Jackson County that provide free meals to the needy.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
