AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SHELTER AND FACILITY IN HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Biloxi, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered to contribute from any available funds, not more than Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) annually, during calendar years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, to the Humane Society of South Mississippi to aid in the construction of a new center in Harrison County, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
