AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, TO CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN UNION COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO MR. JOHN YOUNG IN EXCHANGE FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) In consideration for the conveyance of property described in subsection (2) of this section, the Department of Finance and Administration, acting on behalf of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, may transfer and convey to Mr. John Young all of its right, title and interest in certain real property, and any improvements thereon, located within the County of Union, described more specifically as follows:

Beginning at the N E corner of the S E 1/4 of Section 17, T 7 S, R 3 E, run West along the quarter section line a distance of 1427.5 feet to the intersection of the quarter section line and the East right-of-way line of Mississippi Highway 15, thence S 25° 27' W along the said East right-of-way line a distance of 1506.42 feet to a stake at the intersection of the East right-of-way line of Miss. Highway 15 and the South right-of-way line of Poplar St. which is the point of beginning for this survey, run thence S 25° 27' W along the East right-of-way line of Miss. Highway 15 a distance of 17.0 feet to a stake at the intersection of the East right-of-way line of Miss. Highway 15 and the North right-of-way line of the proposed U. S. Highway 78 By-Pass, thence S 0° 23' E along said North right-of-way line a distance of 139.8 feet to a stake, thence S 38° 55' E. along said North right-of-way line a distance of 299.9 feet to a stake, thence N 21° 00' E a distance of 430.3 feet to the South line of Poplar St., thence S 87° 14' W along the South line of Poplar St. a distance of 336.7 feet to the point of beginning; said tract being situated in the S E ¹/₄ of Section 17, T 7 S, R 3 E, New Albany, Union County, Mississippi and containing 1.90 acres.

(2) The conveyance authorized in subsection (1) shall be conditioned upon the conveyance to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety by Mr. John Young of certain real property located within the County of Union, described more specifically as follows:

Commencing at a three-fourth inch iron pipe found at the Southwest corner of Section 7, Township 7 South, Range 3 East, New Albany, Union County, Mississippi for the point of beginning; thence run North 00 degrees 09 minutes 41 seconds West 991.24 ft. along the Section Line, thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East 499.96 ft. to a point, thence South 00 degrees 09 minutes 48 seconds East (passing through a one-half inch iron pin at 986.23 ft.) a distance of 1,002.10 ft. to a point on the centerline of Bratton Road, thence North 88 degrees 58 minutes 08 seconds West 84.54 ft. to a p-k nail, thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes 35 seconds West along said centerline, 415.47 ft. to a point, thence North 00 degrees 09 minutes 41 seconds West 12.29 ft. to the point of beginning, said tract

lying in the Southwest Quarter of Section 7 and the

Northwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 7 South,

Range 3 East and containing 11.50 acres.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
