AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 73-19-31, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO EXTEND THE AUTOMATIC REPEALER ON THOSE SECTIONS WHICH CREATE THE MISSISSIPPI BOARD OF OPTOMETRY AND PRESCRIBE ITS DUTIES AND POWERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 73-19-31, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     73-19-31.  Sections 73-19-1 through 73-19-29 and 73-19-33 through 73-19-45, Mississippi Code of 1972, which create the Mississippi Board of Optometry and prescribe its duties and powers, shall stand repealed as of July 1, 2009.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after June 30, 2005.
