AN ACT TO DESIGNATE U.S. HIGHWAY 80 WITHIN THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI AS THE "KOREAN WAR VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) U.S. Highway 80 within the State of Mississippi is designated and shall be known as the "Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway" in honor of and in gratitude and appreciation for sacrifices and contributions made by the veterans of the Korean War.
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching U.S. Highway 80.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
