AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO GEORGE MILLER A/K/A GEORGE L. MILLER OF HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to George L. Miller of Hinds County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of the crime of arson in 1998 in Hinds County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections.  Ten (10) months and eighteen (18) days of his sentence were suspended and he was credited two (2) years, one (1) month and seventeen (17) days for time served.  He was released from detention on March 24, 1998, and since that time he has conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
