A RESOLUTION COMMENDING FREIDA KALETSCH FOR HER MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE HARRISON COUNTY YOUTH COURT SYSTEM AND CONGRATULATING HER UPON RETIREMENT.
WHEREAS, Freida Kaletsch retired as Administrator of the Harrison County Youth Court System on January 31, 2005, after more than 36 years of committed and diligent service to the state and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, commencing her employment with the court in 1968, when she moved to Long Beach as a new bride with a bachelor's degree in psychology, Mrs. Kaletsch first worked as a counselor for delinquent, neglected and abused children, working in all areas of youth court operations over the course of her career before being promoted to the administrator's position in 2000; and
WHEREAS, during her illustrious career with the Youth Court, Mrs. Kaletsch has gone above and beyond the call of duty, arriving early and staying late to ensure an efficient flow of work performance and management of 40 employees; and
WHEREAS, passionate about the health, safety and future of the county's youth, Mrs. Kaletsch, along with several colleagues, founded Professionals Advocating for Children Together (PACT) after witnessing the staff diminish at the county's Department of Human Services; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to recognize and commend excellence of such outstanding individuals as Freida Kaletsch, whose services to the citizens of Harrison County were monumental:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Freida Kaletsch upon her retirement after 36 years of dedicated and exemplary service to the Harrison County Youth Court, and we extend to her our heartiest wishes for success in all her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Freida Kaletsch and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
