A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION EXTENDING FROM APRIL 6, 2005, TO APRIL 12, 2005, THE DATE OF SINE DIE ADJOURNMENT OF THE 2005 REGULAR SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE.
WHEREAS, Section 68 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890 provides that no appropriation bill may be passed during the last five (5) days of the session, and in order to adopt appropriation bills by the end of the day on Thursday, April 7, 2005, the sine die date must be extended by five (5) days past April 7, 2005:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the 2005 Regular Session of the Legislature will stand adjourned sine die at 12:00 midnight, Tuesday, April 12, 2005.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution supersedes the provision of House Concurrent Resolution No. 117, 2005 Regular Session, that sets the date of sine die adjournment.
