House Bill 1582

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO THE MARION COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AT CERTAIN INDUSTRIAL PARK PROPERTY OF THE DISTRICT, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2006.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Mississippi Development Authority for the purpose of providing funds to the Marion County Economic Development District for infrastructure improvements at the industrial park property of the district described in Section 2 of this act, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006................................$1,000,000.00.

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by Section 1 of this act is for infrastructure improvements at the industrial park property of the Marion County Economic Development District that was conveyed to the district by the State of Mississippi on December 11, 2001, under the authority of Section 8 of Chapter 541, Laws of 2000, and is described as follows:

The S1/2 of the SE1/4; and the SE1/4 of the SW1/4, all in Section 21, Township 4 North, Range 18 West, Marion County, Mississippi.

SECTION 3. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2005.
