AN ACT TO REQUIRE EACH HEALTH CARE PROVIDER TO CONDUCT RANDOM DRUG TESTING OF ALL EMPLOYEES OF THE HEALTH CARE PROVIDER THAT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE SERVICES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) As used in the section, the term "health care provider" means an individual, partnership or corporation that is licensed, certified or otherwise authorized or permitted by law to provide health care in the ordinary course of business or practice of a profession.
(2) Each health care provider shall conduct random drug testing of all employees of the health care provider that provide health care services. The random drug testing shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements for neutral selection drug testing as provided in Section 71-7-7.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2005.
