AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DISPLAY OF CERTAIN RELIGIOUS INFORMATION IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of every political subdivision in the state are authorized, in their discretion, to display the Ten Commandments, the pronouncements from the Sermon on the Mount known as "The Beatitudes," and the motto "In God We Trust," on an appropriately framed background in any public building.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2005.
