AMENDMENT NO 2 PROPOSED TO

     Amend by striking Section 1 in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

     SECTION 1.  Section 29-7-1, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     29-7-1.  (1)  The * * * Mineral Lease Commission * * * shall consist of the following persons who shall be the members of the commission:  the Governor, the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, the Executive Director of the Oil and Gas Board, and the Director of Office of Geology in the Department of Environmental Quality.

 * * *

     (2) The term "commission" means the Mineral Lease Commission.

     Further, amend the title by striking lines 2 and 3 in their entirety, inserting in lieu thereof the following:

REVISE THE COMPOSITION OF THE MINERAL LEASE COMMISSION; TO AMEND SECTION
