Senate Amendments to House Concurrent Resolution No. 2

 

TO THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SENATE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the resolving clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

That a joint session of the House of Representatives and the Senate shall be held on the South steps of the New Capitol Building, or in the event of inclement weather, in the House of Representatives at 12:00 o'clock noon on Tuesday, January 13, 2004, for the Inauguration and to hear the message of Governor Haley Barbour.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A JOINT SESSION OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE ON JANUARY 13, 2004, FOR THE INAUGURATION AND TO HEAR THE MESSAGE OF GOVERNOR HALEY BARBOUR.
