Senate Amendments to House Bill No. 1805

 

TO THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SENATE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the city of Charleston, Mississippi, in their discretion, may lease up to fifteen (15) acres of land owned or leased by the city to the Robert Hill Youth Foundation, Incorporated, for a period of up to five (5) years under such terms, conditions and consideration as the governing authorities of Charleston, in their discretion, deem will best promote the educational, cultural, social or economic welfare of the city.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF CHARLESTON, MISSISSIPPI, TO  LEASE UP TO 15 ACRES OF LAND OWNED OR LEASED BY THE CITY TO THE ROBERT HILL YOUTH FOUNDATION, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
