Senate Amendments to House Bill No. 1679

 

TO THE CLERK OF THE HOUSE:

 

  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SENATE HAS ADOPTED THE AMENDMENTS SET OUT BELOW:

 

 

AMENDMENT NO. 1

 

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in their discretion, may provide in-kind services to The Initiative, Inc., including, but not limited to, grass cutting services, building repair and pest spraying through calendar year 2008; however, the value of such services shall not exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) annually.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO PROVIDE IN-KIND SERVICES TO THE INITIATIVE, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
