COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Senate Bill No. 3213

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Oxford, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute annually to the Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation, out of any available municipal funds, an amount not to exceed Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) during the 2004 calendar year.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE OXFORD-LAFAYETTE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION FOR THE 2004 CALENDAR YEAR; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
