AMEND ON LINE 17 by striking the words "Mississippi Major Economic Impact Authority shall be the mineral lease commission" and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "mineral lease commission shall be composed of the Secretary of State, Attorney General and the State Treasurer"
AMEND FURTHER ON LINE 23 by striking the words "Mississippi Major Economic Impact Authority" and inserting in lieu thereof "Secretary of State, Attorney General and the State Treasurer"
AMEND FURTHER ON LINE 24 AND 25 by striking the words "Mississippi Major Economic Impact Authority" and inserting in lieu thereof "Secretary of State, Attorney General and the State Treasurer"
AMEND FURTHER BY striking the new language beginning on Line 41 through the word "appropriate," on Line 48
AMEND FURTHER ON LINE 48 by capitalizing the "T" in the word "the"
AMEND FURTHER ON LINE 50 by striking the words "all aspects of" and "process of" and inserting the word "of" after the word "leasing"
AMEND FURTHER ON LINE 51 by inserting a period after the word "development" and striking the language beginning with the ",including" through the word "required." on Line 55 and inserting in lieu thereof "In all matters pertaining to the conservation, development and leasing of oil, gas and other minerals on state-owned lands the Office of Geology and the Department of Environmental Quality shall be subject to the direction of the commission, and it shall be the responsibility of the Office of Geology and the Department of Environmental Quality to advise the commission in matters set forth in this chapter and to foster, encourage and promote the development, production and utilization and conservation of the natural resources of oil, gas and other minerals on state-owned lands so as to maximize the present and future benefits to the state and to protect the overall economic interest of the State."
