REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

 

MR. SPEAKER AND MADAM PRESIDENT:

 

   We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled RESOLUTION:

 

H. C. No.   43:  Joint Rules; adopt for 2004-2008 term.

 

  We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:

 

   1.  That the Senate recede from its Amendments 1, 2, 3, 4.

 

   2.  That the House and Senate adopt the following amendment:

 

 

     AMEND by changing the semicolon to a comma on Line 212, by striking Lines 213 through 222 in their entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

and any conferee may request a person who is not a member of the conference committee, upon approval of a majority of the members of the committee present, to address the committee in the room.
