A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MRS. RENEE HAUTLE FOR BEING NAMED PARENT OF THE YEAR FOR THE CLINTON PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, a longtime supporter of Clinton Public Schools received an unexpected job title on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, when Renee Hautle, representing Eastside Elementary School, was named "Parent of the Year" for the Clinton Municipal Separate School District by the school board; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hautle and other schools' nominees were honored at a recognition dinner at the Career Complex by the school board; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hautle, the former Renee Lancaster, and her husband, Jeff, have two children, a daughter, Hannah, who is in the fourth grade and a 2-year-old son, Collin; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hautle, who is a stay-at-home mom, enjoys arts and crafts; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hautle's selection will be forwarded to the Mississippi Department of Education for consideration as a state winner; and
WHEREAS, "She has been an incredible parent, like a lot of our parents, from the time her daughter entered school," said Cindy Hamil, Assistant Principal at Eastside. "She's always available to do anything we need her to do. She's very talented"; and
WHEREAS, since her daughter began school, Renee has been involved with the PTA, she serves on the PTA Board, co-chairs the hospitality committee, and she does behind-the-scenes work like registrations, luncheons and book fairs; and
WHEREAS, it is with pride that we recognize this dedicated parent, whose involvement in her daughter's school serves as an excellent example of civic contribution to her community and to the State of Mississippi:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mrs. Renee Hautle for being named 2003-2004 "Parent of the Year" for the Clinton Municipal Separate Public School District, and extend to her the best wishes of the Senate in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Hautle and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
